Passing Over

Posted in a warm glow of gratitude on December 13, 2010 by Duncan

All the donations are in, the costs are paid, and the final total is £1,097.51, which means £548.75 each goes to Mind in Brighton & Hove and The Old Police Cells Museum. A massive thanks to everyone who donated or supported the project.

I certainly found it a very interesting experience, and am very grateful for the opportunity to do it. Indeed, meditating with ghosts is something I’d love to try again – hopefully somewhere even scarier next time! If you’re reading this, and you own or know of a venue that you think might prove challenging, or where you think the ghosts might benefit from my spending some quality time with them, then please get in touch. (Email: duncan [at] alonewithghosts [dot] org [dot] uk.)

For now, this project is closed (unless another venue offers itself) but the website will remain.Trapped in the cells!

Thank You

My thanks to Councillor Pat Drake, for supporting the project and making the museum available; to Lee and the security staff at the town hall, for making the event safe, and for their kind support; to Tonya at Mind for her guidance and fund-raising assistance; to Emma and all The World of Paranormal crew for so kindly inviting me to join them on their fascinating investigation at the museum; to John for oiling the wheels and putting me in touch with Cllr. Drake; to Jonathan for his help with collecting the pledges; to Tony and Jennifer at My Brighton and Hove, for permission to use images of the museum; to the editors of Paranormal Magazine and Fortean Times for publishing my letters about the event; to Andrea for the brilliant publicity photos; to Recipease in Brighton for the luverly nosh; to Julia for her admin support; to Julia (again) and Louise for helping me back to sanity very early on the morning after; and – of course – to everyone who donated, whose generosity led to a final total that far exceeded anything I’d expected at the beginning. Thank you!

Victuals for the Vigil

Posted in a warm glow of gratitude on October 19, 2010 by Duncan

The lovely people at Recipease, Brighton, have kindly offered some tasty treats to see me through the night on Halloween. How nice is that?!

But it’s difficult to resist the primary school humour of wondering what the package might contain… Some ghoulash, definitely… Perhaps some spookghetti bolognaise… Maybe even some plain old poached egg on ghost

Many thanks to Recipease!
