Ghost caught on camera!
Paul Reed (46) snapped this picture of a ghost whilst he was out walking his dog in Kelsey Park, Beckenham, Kent. Another local resident, Samuel Allan, said: ‘There was a case of a woman being buried in the park in the late 1890s because she loved walking in it so much. It appears she still haunts the park and comes out now and again, much to the surprise of walkers.’
This story was originally published on the website of The Daily Telegraph (15th May, 2010) but the page itself now appears to have been removed. No matter, the story received a write-up in this month’s Fortean Times (No. 265, August 2010, p. 14-5) where Alan Murdie noted the decidedly lukewarm response so far to the image.
It’s funny this, because just the other week I myself was out walking in the grassy area between the top of Dyke Road and Hove Park and – would you believe it – I too happened to bump into the ghost of a Victorian lady! What are the chances of that, eh?

I wonder if anyone has done any research yet into the frequency with which Victorian lady ghosts appear to walkers who imagine they’re much better at Photoshop than they really are?
